Hey
found this guy on very old liverock today at night time. NJot sure what it is any ideas?? Also when a small piece of sps coral feel he kinda like expanded in width a bit. Looks like he has needeals, is it a bristle worm. he is a good 4" in lenth.

any idea???

Yes, I'd say it is a Bristle worm. Some people say these should be removed, but more recently the consensus is to leave them. Turns out they are a good part of a cleanup crew. Just be careful with them. Some bristle worms can sting like a bee sting. These are also referred to as Fire worms.

You might want to do some research on these if you have clams. For some reason I'm thinking that they might bother clams. :shock:

i would remove it cause when it come to my clams i dont play arownd... but these guys do get really big from what ive seen... like the bigest last week on some live rock i was putting out for sale, found one that was about 5 or 6 inches
