 well, in a worst case scenaroi, you could make a little DIY box type thing to put next to your stand, and put the fuge and fuge lights in there

and for the question where to put it, butild another stand right next to the tank put the refuge in it, and put a plant or something on top.
Can you place it above the tank? :)

sure
that method is actually the best, ie, you will then get the doseing of pods into your main tank, and have them be alive and whole.
what you whould have to do is pump water from you sump or tank into the fuge and then the fuge would overflow back into the tank.
you may want to go to rc under refunguim or nano reef they have some tanks that use this method

For macro algae to successfully benefit your tank...and you don't have a nano-tank, I imagine a HOB (Hang-On-Back) isn't going to help you any.

what do you mean I dont have a nano tank :? I already do have a HOB and on the left side on the bottom there is a hole already there so I was thinking of haveing gravity do the work by comming out of the HOB to the refugium then from there go to the return side of the sump because creapods and other things are not really harmed by the propellers in the pump.

the slender garbage cann will be behind the stand. You could even make a box out of plywood to cover it and make it look better if you are that concerned:)
