I want to tell you all about a fairly new company in the industry, Omega Sea.
They currently offer a complete line of quality fish foods from freshwater to Marine, from color enhancing to Herbivore diet.
They are preparing to add a few other products to the market, and I have been fortunate enough to get my hands on some of them already.
One of these products is a line of Metal Halide bulbs. I am currently running a 175watt 14000K bulb on my 20 gallon reef tank, which Omega Sea provided. This tank is over two years old, and houses my Heteractis malu anemone with hosted Amphiprion Clarkii clownfish. This is an importants fact for you to know, as I am very over protective of my reefs, and to change my ways based on a new product shows that it caught my interest.
The bulb is, in my opinion, the best of both lighting worlds. It has enough of the color spectrum to light up the tank, and enough of the blue (actinic) spectrum to cause the fluorescent hues in my anemone and corals to shine brightly. I used to run Power Compact bulbs on this tank, but never really got the tell tale glow from my corals and anemone. I noticed the difference immediately after adding Omega Sea's bulb. I only run this bulb on the tank, and feel there is no need to run any other supplemental lighting.
In short, it passes my scrutiny with flying colors, and I hope you will give these bulbs some consideration when setting up your lighting system.
Omega Sea is very interested in what you, the hobbyist, have to say about there product. And I can say that from experience with this company, this is very true.
I will post more info on Omega Sea and their products soon..........
